Name
  Hakeem Alexander

Bio
Hakeem Alexander comes to California (2-20-02) and Bodies In Motion (4-23-04) from Miami Florida where he grew up after moving there from New
York City when he was 13 years old.

In South Florida, Hakeem was an all around athlete, participating in such diverse sports teams such as swimming, cross country, and wrestling, and other programs such as chorus, marching band, and musical theatre. Later, he began jumping around to different martial arts schools and Dojos picking up the basics from styles such as Muy Thai (Thai KickBoxing), Shotokan Karate, Capoeira, Boxing, and a few others.

After experimenting with what fit his personality and natural abilities, Hakeem began demonstrating his skills in public and was approached by individuals wanting to learn from him. Members of the Miami-Dade S.W.A.T. Team, the Broward Sherrif's Office, University of Miami, and elsewhere were soon (unofficially) seeking his private instruction. Hakeem then became a Certified Group Fitness trainer with I.F.A. and the later the more recognized National Academy of Sports Medicine (N.A.S.M.) as a Certified Personal Trainer to enhance his knowledge and growth in the ever-changing fitness industry.

Hakeem has become one of the most eclectic trainers around, instructing classes for Bodies in Motion ranging from Mat Pilates, Hard Bodies, Abs and uppercut, Boxing, kickBoxing, and Yoga. You may also notice integrations in his training regimen spawned from his training as a Hypnotherapist at Hypnosis Motivation Institute(H.M.I.), and work as a writer, mad scientist and musician.
